Frequently asked questions

Have a different question and can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Reach out to our team by getting in touch and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

How does the free trial work?

Traveler includes a 7-day free trial with no card required. It reverts to the Free plan automatically when it ends, so you are never charged unless you choose to subscribe.

Do I need to install anything?

No. RollPlayRadio runs entirely in your web browser. Open a tab, sign in, and start mixing. There is nothing to download and no plugins to manage.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Manage Billing in your account and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. No lock-in, no cancellation fee.

Do all the paid tiers get the same library?

Yes. Traveler, Adventurer, and Hero all unlock the full library. Higher tiers add streaming to Discord and early access to brand-new content, not more tracks on day one.

How often do you add new content?

We aim to add fresh content every month, on top of the winning picks from our monthly community poll. Hero members get early access to new releases before everyone else.

Which payment methods can I use?

Checkout is handled securely by Stripe, which accepts major cards and supported wallets. We never see or store your card details.

Can my players hear the same audio if we play remotely?

Yes. Listen Together, on Traveler and up, gives you a shareable link. Your players just need a free account, then anyone who opens the link hears your mix in sync, right in their browser, with nothing to install.

Can I use it alongside Roll20, Foundry, or Fantasy Grounds?

Yes. It runs in its own browser tab, so keep your virtual tabletop open in one tab and RollPlayRadio in another. The audio plays independently of whatever tabletop or video call you are using.

How do I get the audio into my Discord voice channel?

On Adventurer and Hero, our Discord bot joins your voice channel and streams your live mix to everyone in it. No virtual audio cables, no second Discord account, and no screen-share tricks. Change the mix in the app and the table hears it instantly.

Can I use it while streaming on Twitch or YouTube?

Yes. You can use RollPlayRadio as background ambience in your TTRPG streams, videos, and podcasts, including monetised ones. The main conditions are that it accompanies your own content rather than being the whole broadcast, and that you do not re-share the tracks on their own. See our Terms for the full conditions

Does it work on my phone?

RollPlayRadio is built for a laptop or desktop, where you have room to layer and tweak the board. On phones it plays only while the tab is open and in front, because mobile browsers stop background audio, so for a hands-off experience at the table use the Discord bot instead.

What happens to my scenes if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. You keep every scene and session you have saved. You just cannot create new ones beyond the lower tier’s limit until you remove some or upgrade again.

Can I upload my own music or sound effects?

Not right now. RollPlayRadio is a handcrafted, curated library, so every track is mixed to sit well alongside the others.

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how RollPlayRadio is used. May we enable them? Essential storage needed to run the app is always on. See our Privacy Policy.
